Photography has been my creative outlet of choice for over a decade.  Starting like many first time mothers when my oldest was born. I couldn’t get over his amazing little hands, feet, that first smile, first tooth… the crazy messes he could make, his steely blue eyes and amazingly cautious and thoughtful gaze.  I also couldn’t believe how fleeting and fast each moment was. It became important to me early on to document the everyday life moments that made my life so beautiful, messy, and wonderful all at the same time. I realized that this creative outlet could possibly be more… and more it has become!  Every day for me is an exercise in seeing the beautiful… in the shadows and in the light. Four kids later and many albums full of memories and photographs… I find my kids on the living room couch many mornings pouring over these books. What I want them to see is that life is beautiful (even if it’s messy)… they are loved… and important… and that the little moments although at the time seem small become cherished memories.

I consider it an honour to walk beside families as they grow.  My sessions are fun and full of connections! I give a fair amount of direction to help those that are uncomfortable or camera shy (dads!)... but when the beautiful candid moments of life happen I know when to step back and let the magic happen. I would consider my style to include simple and classic portraits mixed together with laid back lifestyle images that capture family connections and children’s natural personalities.
